FAQ

What is scoopable wax?

Scoopable wax is wax combined with a carrier oil to make it soft enough to scoop out of a container as if it was a real dessert! It will remain soft for the duration of having the wax melts. Scoopable wax from Irresitible Wax comes in a PET plastic or glass container. Wax in the glass containers can be scooped with a spoon into the wax warmer or placed on top of a 2 in 1 wax warmer plate. Wax in the PET plastic containers must be scooped out into the wax warmer and should never be placed on top of a hot plate. Carrier oils used at this time are coconut oil, sweet almond oil, avocado oil, sunflower, safflower, vegetable or rice bran oil. Please contact us for a custom order on Etsy or at irresistiblewax@gmail.com if you are allergic to any of these oils.

Does the scoopable wax include the Irresistible Wax spoon?

It is now your choice to include the gold stainless steel Irresistible Wax spoon with your scoopable wax melts. Many have received a spoon and use that one spoon for all the other scoopable wax melts. There are two options listed for the scoopable wax to include spoon or not. If there is an item you're interested in that shows "out of stock" with the spoon please check back soon or email us at irresistiblewax@gmail.com so we can make it available if spoons are in stock. Sometimes sold out items get overlooked.

What wax do you use in your candles?

Soy, para soy wax blends, paraffin and gel wax. Items used in each candle will be listed under the product's description.

When will my order ship?

All candles and wax melts are handmade and made to order. Currently there is a 5-10 business day (Mon-Fri) processing time before the items are shipped. They are mainly shipped in the order they are received. Faster shipping times at checkout only applies after the 7-14 business day processing time. So for example if you've placed your order today, the business day count would start tomorrow and count 5-10 days excluding Sat and Sun and that's when the order will be shipped by. Shipping times depends on location we are located in Georgia. It usually takes an additional 2-3 business days. We are currently working on faster shipping times thank you for your patience.

The item I want says "out of stock" when will it be in stock?

Most items that states "out of stock" are due to waiting on materials to be received used for that product that were also out of stock with the supplier. Since everything is made to order sometimes sold out items get overlooked, meaning the materials needed to make the item may be in stock, but we didn't realize the last one listed was sold a day ago. In this case please check back soon or email us at irresistiblewax@gmail.com so we can make it available if possible.

I don't see an item listed that was posted on social media, can I purchase the item?

Due to the fact that there's only one of me that hand makes all candles and wax melts and I've created over 100 styles of candles and wax melts, everything ever created can not be listed on the site at once at this time. For this reason, the menu of candles and wax melts changes often. However, custom orders can still be placed by emailing irresistiblewax@gmail.com, even if you would like pumpkin pie in Spring!

What will I need to start the beginner's candle making class?

  • Double boil method using heating plate or stove (pot to hold boiling water and melting pot)
  • Melting pot
  • Scale (kitchen, food or shipping scale)
  • 1 lb. your choice of wax (recommend soy wax GW 464 to start)
  • 1 oz your choice of fragrance oil
  • Thermometer
  • Candle dye or dye chips (if color desired)
  • Stirring utensil (stainless steel, silicone or wooden) (note stainless steel can be loud when stirring)
  • Glasses of your choice
  • Wicks (wick size depend on size of jar and wax being used)
  • Wick stickers
  • Wick holder
  • Heat Gun

Wick size guides on what wick size to start testing for your particular jar size can be found on many candle supplier's sites including Nature's Garden Candles, The Flaming Candle and Candle Science.

Materials listed can also be found at Nature's Garden Candles, The Flaming Candle, Candle Science, Amazon, Hobby Lobby, Michael's and many other candle suppliers. My suggestion would be to find candle suppliers nearest to your area to save on shipping cost.

Candle making kits are also a good place to start. Just be sure that you have all of the items listed before joining the beginner's candle making class. Some candle making kits may not include a melting pot or thermometer and most will not include a hot plate or scale.

All classes are virtual for now.
